Eight Strings & a Whistle translates into innovative programming, stirring music and some of the most memorable performances you’ll hear. Our repertoire features the unique combination of flute, viola and cello and draws from a wide range of sources –– there are works from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern periods, as well as pieces composed expressly for us. We are so excited to be welcoming Scott Brickman as our latest Featured Composer. We're going to be performing and recording a lot of his music in the coming season. Please join us on Friday, November 20th for our annual concert at the Tenri Cultural Institute!
We'll be celebrating the release of our debut recording, Albert's Window, with a performance of Edmund Cionek's Bad Robots. We'll also be premiering a work by Frank Warren as well as performing other works by Octavio Vazquez, Béla Bartók and Josef Mysliwecek. Following the concert, the party will continiue with a reception. We hope to see all of you there!
