Eight Strings & a Whistle translates into innovative programming, stirring music and some of the most memorable performances you’ll hear. Our repertoire features the unique combination of flute, viola and cello and draws from a wide range of sources –– there are works from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern periods, as well as pieces composed expressly for us. We are so excited to be welcoming Scott Brickman as our latest Featured Composer. We're going to be performing and recording a lot of his music in the coming season. We're looking forward to presenting the world premiere of Peri Mauer’sThought’s Torsion, a work inspired by the energy generated from the twisting and spiraling of human thoughts and emotions.
