Eight Strings & a Whistle translates into innovative programming, stirring music and some of the most memorable performances you’ll hear. Our repertoire features the unique combination of flute, viola and cello and draws from a wide range of sources –– there are works from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern periods, as well as pieces composed expressly for us. Please join us at Spectrum for a collaborative concert with the wonderful pianist Beth Levin, for the premiere Scott Brickman's quartet, Ninetly Six Strings and Two Whistles! We'll also be performing Thought's Torsion by Peri Mauer, Octavio Vazquez'sTrio and selections from Chopin's Piano Sonata Op.35.
